Andy Turner

CEO & Founder

Andy Turner is the CEO and Founder of Spaces.  Turner leads the Spaces team with a commitment to excellence guided by the Spaces foundational purpose of enriching lives and communities through residential services and its core values.  He is focused on delivering value-added services and building loyal relationships.  Turner also places an emphasis on the necessity of improving and innovating processes to provide the best possible customer experience.  In addition to leadership, Turner primarily works on strategy development, business development, and customer relationships.

Turner began his career in real estate in 2004 as a real estate agent, and then in 2005, founded what is today Spaces Management.  Since then, Turner has been involved in all aspects of managing and leasing residential communities.  Notable projects where Turner was involved in part or in full for the site selection, development plan, re-zoning, pre-construction lease-up, or long-term management include  Midtown Village, Traditions, Crimson Place, Capstone Quarters, Houndstooth, Sterling Crimson Living, The Bluff at Water Works Landing, The Grove at Water Works Landing, The Nine at Tuscaloosa, The Nine at Memphis, The Nine at West Campus, The Nine at Rio, Blue Haus, and The Walk.  Turner believes that his success can be attributed to his commitment to providing stellar service built on a foundation of virtuous character. 

Turner completed five years of coursework and a case study to receive the coveted Professional Community Association Manager designation from the Community Associations Institute in 2013.  He also holds the Association Management Specialist designation and is a licensed Realtor and Homebuilder.

Before working in real estate sales and development, Andy was an instructor of Business Ethics and Small Company Management at the University of Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama and went on to receive his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Alabama.  During his time in school, he received numerous awards, including the National Alumni Association Graduate Fellow, the Graduate Council Fellowship, the Langston T. Hawley Management Graduate Scholarship Award, the Betty Loomis Distinguished Student Scholarship, the Minnie C. Miles Human Resources Management Endowed Graduate Scholarship, the Coleman Scholarship, and the Frederick Augustine Brett Memorial Endowed Scholarship. In addition, he has also worked as an industry consultant and as a leadership counselor.

President

Steve Case serves as the President of Spaces. In this capacity, Steve leads the organization with responsibility for the company’s overall day-to-day operations and financial management.  Steve’s extensive background in finance and accounting is a valuable asset in his role as he creates and maintains the appropriate processes and systems throughout the company to provide the best customer experience, financial reporting, accountability, and internal controls for Spaces and its customers. 

Prior to serving as President of Spaces, Steve served as CFO for Land and Natural Resource Development, Inc. for four years, and prior to that, he was at Jamison Money Farmer, PC Accounting Firm for 20 years as a Partner in the firm. 

Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 24+ years of accounting experience and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Nicki Hall

Vice-President of Association Management

Nicki Hall leads the Association Management division and will have primary oversight for your Association.  Hall joined the Spaces Management team in May of 2015 and has provided excellent leadership and growth for the Association Management division.  She serves on the Associates Council and the Board of Directors of the Homebuilders Association of Tuscaloosa. 

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Hall led the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors as the Executive Vice-President/CEO.  During her 13 years at the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors, Hall built a network of relationships in the Tuscaloosa real estate community and gained invaluable experience in leading the Board of Directors and a wide variety of Committees.  Hall is a native of Tuscaloosa and a University of Alabama graduate. She completed the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation through CAI shortly after starting with Spaces, and is continuing her pursuit of additional education through CAI in order to achieve the PCAM designation. 

Macy Christopher

Director of Rental Operations

Macy Christopher began her career in real estate in 2016 as a real estate assistant in her hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi. She developed a strong passion for the industry and later relocated to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she obtained her real estate license in 2019. Macy worked as both a real estate assistant and a licensed Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. During her time as a Realtor, her interest in property management continued to grow, ultimately leading her to join the Spaces team in 2020. She began as the Property Manager at Capstone Quarters and quickly advanced to Area Property Manager within the student housing division at Spaces Management.

Today, Macy serves as the Director of Rental Operations, where she leads the rentals department and oversees operational strategy, performance, and growth.

Mel Priess

Broker

Mel has been in Real Estate for 28 years and has a heart for serving other through real estate.

Recently moving to Tuscaloosa was former Redfin Market Manager / Managing Broker for State of TN overseeing Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga markets.

Mel believes in working hard to build trust as a difference-maker in people’s lives. He loves helping people meet their needs and dreams when it comes to homeownership.

Nikki Van Luvender

Association Accounting Manager

Nikki Van Luvender heads the Association Management Accounting division and will primarily oversee your Association’s Financials.  Ms. Van Luvender joined the Spaces Management team in April of 2012 as a Staff Accountant and worked diligently to become the Association Accounting Manager.  She is a member of the National Notary Association and Community Association Institute. 

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Ms. Van Luvender had 9 years of accounting experience. Ms. Van Luvender is a native of Tuscaloosa and a University of Alabama graduate. She is pursuing additional education through CAI to achieve the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation.

Angela Jones

Receptionist

Angela has been the Receptionist for Spaces Management since December 2025. She has previously worked in property management and as an art instructor for children K-5. She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and care to our residents and homeowners. She grew up in Tuscaloosa and has resided in Oregon and Georgia. Angela is a collector of folk art and enjoys going to the theater, concerts and spending time with her cat, Bob.

Brooke Herring

On-Site Community Association Manager, Realtor

Brooke Herring joined the Spaces Management team as part of the Association Management division in June of 2019 and oversees the property management of the University Downs Condominium Home Owner’s Association. Brooke joins our team with eleven years of experience in the Tuscaloosa property management market. She is currently working on expanding her education through CAI by completing the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation.

Brooke has been a resident of Tuscaloosa County for 25 years. She has one daughter who currently attends Shelton State Community College as a member of the Lady Bucs softball team and one son who attends Northside High School and plays varsity baseball.

Denise Reach

On-Site Community Association Manager

Denise Reach is our onsite Property Manager and Community Association Manager for Midtown Village Condominiums. Denise joined the Spaces Management team in August of 2021 and thrives in spearheading community development.

Prior to entering Real Estate, Denise had worked in banking and finance for 15 years. Denise moved on to become a Realtor for Keller Williams Realty and has been in property management for over thirteen years. Reach is a licensed Realtor and handles all leasing for Midtown Village Condominiums.

She is passionate about serving her community and building meaningful relationships with all. She is an Alabama native and a graduate of Holt High School.

Evelyn Perez

Area Property Manager

Evelyn is the on-campus and Blue Haus Property Manager, where she focuses on creating a positive and well-supported living experience for our residents while protecting and maximizing our owners’ investments. Originally a Southwest Florida native, she got her start in the real estate industry there before graduating from the University of Alabama in 2021. She has been a transplant ever since. Roll Tide!

Jennifer Dunn

Community Association Manager

Jennifer Dunn has more than 20 years of experience in property management, with a strong background in both conventional and student housing. Her professional expertise includes accounting roles with two large Tuscaloosa-based firms, as well as management of University of Alabama fraternity and sorority accounts, providing her with specialized knowledge of Greek housing operations.

Known for her positive impact and effective project management skills, Jennifer has played a key role in developing and overseeing a portfolio of 11 properties with Spaces Management. She is committed to supporting her communities through ongoing improvements, proactive problem-solving, and meaningful community engagement.

Jennifer works closely with property owners and residents to protect investments, ensure HOAs operate effectively, maintain property values, and promote an enjoyable living environment. A Tuscaloosa native, Jennifer has built strong relationships with local businesses and vendors, allowing her to deliver dependable and efficient property management solutions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on creative projects, including interior design and collecting.

Johnnie Lea Romanowski

Property Manager Crimson Place

Johnnie Lea, boasting 8 years of experience in both Multifamily and Single Family (BTR) sectors, introduces a dynamic, forward-thinking, and proficient approach to property management. Having relocated to Tuscaloosa in January 2024, she recently joined our Spaces Management team as a onsite property manager at Crimson Place. She is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to broaden her expertise and capabilities within the realm of student housing.

Kelley Elmore

Community Association Manager

Kelley Elmore brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for community building to her role as a Community Association Manager at Spaces Management. Prior to joining Spaces, Kelley spent several years immersed in the dynamic world of apartment management across Tuscaloosa County, where she specialized in both conventional multifamily and student communities.

Driven by her innate desire to make a positive impact, Kelley has always been dedicated to fostering thriving communities and empowering individuals within them. Her commitment to service and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life have been instrumental in her career journey.

Kelley’s transition to Spaces Management marks an exciting chapter in her professional growth. As a Community Association Manager, she is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to enhance the quality of life for residents and cultivate vibrant, inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and supported.

Eager to expand her knowledge and skills, Kelley is currently pursuing additional education through the Community Associations Institute (CAI) with the aim of obtaining the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation. This commitment to ongoing learning underscores her dedication to delivering excellence in community management and elevating industry standards.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Kelley enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her loved ones. With a blend of experience, empathy, and a relentless drive to make a difference, Kelley Elmore is poised to continue making meaningful contributions to the communities she serves at Spaces Management.

LaTangie Miller

Community Association Manager

LaTangie Miller serves as our Community Association Manager. Passionate about creating positive experiences for others, LaTangie is dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering exceptional results. With a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, she will consistently go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction. In her free time, LaTangie enjoys volunteering in her local community and spending time with family and friends.

Macy Donaldson

Leasing Manager/ Maintenance Coordinator

Macy Donaldson is our leasing manager at Spaces Management. Macy grew up in Tuscaloosa County, making her familiar with the area, as well as the local real estate market. She began her real estate career back in 2022, when she became a licensed Realtor and joined 1st Class Real Estate Powerhouse.

Since then, Macy has transitioned to property management and leasing, becoming the property manager at Davis Genery Properties in early 2023. Since transitioning to property management, she has been dedicated to helping clients find their perfect rental properties, while still practicing real estate, as well.

Now, she brings her passion for real estate and commitment to excellence in the property management industry to her new role as a leasing manager here at Spaces Management.

Payton Robinson

Property Manager

Payton Robinson began his career with Spaces Management in 2022 as a Leasing Agent for all on-campus properties. He took on a new role as Resident Services Manager, assisting tenants with all of their needs, enriching the living experience for Spaces property tenants. Payton is now a Property Manager.

Payton has been a resident of Tuscaloosa for 26 years. Prior to joining the Spaces Management team, he worked as a Rehab Technician for Aspire Physical Recovery Center of West Alabama. During his work there, he assisted Physical Therapists and also helped with the processing of insurance claims. After graduating Northside High School, Payton attended Shelton State Community College. His passion to help others makes him an excellent Property Manager.

Tabitha Gilmore

Leasing Agent

Tabitha is a motivated Leasing Agent at Spaces Management She joined the team in 2025 with a strong focus on resident satisfaction, property performance. She has worked in Property Management for 7 years prior to joining the team. She brings a thorough knowledge of leasing procedures, fair housing practices, and customer service standards to every interaction. By staying organized and proactive, she ensures that prospects receive timely follow-ups and accurate information.

Tanda Jackson

Property Manager at Watercress

Tanda is the Property Manager at Watercress, a newly converted Condominium less than a mile from The University of Alabama. She has been caring for this community since October 2021 and joined the Spaces Management team in February 2024. She has worked in property management for 7 years in student living communities and thrives on the challenges that come with this field.

Certifications include being a Realtor in the State of Alabama, a Class C CDL license, and a Certified Pool Operator license. Past experience includes Life Insurance license & sales, retail/customer service, and has attended multiple conferences for professionals over the years to refine her skillsets. She is also actively involved with charity work and is a member of the Tuscaloosa Chapter of Soroptimists International. Her favorite saying is “if someone else can do it, so can I!” While not native to Alabama, Tanda loves Tuscaloosa and will continue growing roots here.

Tommy Ford

Realtor

As associate athletics director, Tommy Ford retired from the University of Alabama Athletics Department on Sept. 1, 2019. Ford, a native of Gadsden, Alabama, earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama in 1978 and his M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University in 1998.

As a student at Alabama from 1974-78, Ford served in the SGA Senate, Jasons, and the Kappa Alpha Order, and during his senior year (1977-78), was sports editor of The Crimson White school newspaper. After graduating from the Capstone, Ford returned to Gadsden before going back to the University in 1982.

1982-87, Ford worked for the National Alumni Association in alumni chapter development and fundraising. In 1987, he was hired as assistant ticket manager in the Athletics Department and then was promoted to ticket manager, a position in which he served from 1987-93. From 1993-2006, Ford was director of TIDE PRIDE, the Athletics Department’s football and basketball ticket priority program for thirteen years.

From 2006-2009, Ford served as director of the Athletics Department’s new annual fund, the A+ Incentives Program, now known as the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund. From 2009 until he retired from the University, Ford oversaw the A-Club Alumni Association, the school’s official letter-winners organization, and the Red Elephant Club booster groups. In the summer of 2020, Ford joined Tuscaloosa’s Spaces Realty LLC as a realtor, specializing in luxury condominiums in the “footprint” of Bryant-Denny Stadium and Coleman Coliseum.

Ford is the author or co-author of eleven books: Alabama’s Family Tides; The University of Alabama All-Access Football Vault®; the Alabama-Auburn Rivalry Football Vault®; Bear Bryant on Leadership; Tornado to National Title #14; Crimson Domination: The Process Behind Alabama’s 15th National Championship; A Season to Remember: Faith amid the Storm; Crimson Mission: Coach Saban & the Tide Silence Critics with 16th National Championship; The University of Alabama Football Vault®, 17 (the story of Alabama’s 2017 national championship), and HISTORY MADE (the story of Alabama’s 2020 national championship).

Ford is married to the former Robin Rich of Gadsden, and the couple has one son, 27-year-old John Michael.

Wade Farris

Property Manager Support Specialist

Wade Farris is the Property Manager Support Specialist. Farris joined the Spaces Management team in June of 2019 and has served as Property Manager at Traditions Condominiums and Area Manager over Single-Family Rentals prior to his new role as Property Manager Support Specialist.

Prior to joining Spaces Management, Farris was a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty here in Tuscaloosa, building relationships with home buyers, home sellers, mortgage lenders, and fellow Realtors. Farris also served on the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtor’s Safety Committee. Prior to Real Estate, Farris spent 38 years in Retail Management, guiding the teams of various Specialty and Big Box Retail Stores. Farris is a native of Tuscaloosa and a Holt High School graduate.

Yazmin Matos

Community Association Manager

Yazmin Matos is an experienced administrative and operations professional who began her career in student housing, where she built a strong foundation in community operations and resident support. She later brought that experience into her HOA career and previously served as a Director of a nonprofit program, deepening her passion for building stronger, more connected communities. A mom of three and devoted to her church, Yazmin is driven by service and making a positive impact wherever she serves.
